Dru Yoga & Mindfulness

Dru Yoga  is a very flowing, graceful style of yoga that is readily adapted to any body.

It has a very energising yet relaxing effect on all levels – body, mind and spirit. It is suitable for anyone, yes even beginners like you! It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, stiff and inflexible or haven’t exercised in years, you can do it. If you are fit and healthy you will love it too. You will notice an improvement in balance, strength, flexibility and inner calm even after your first class. (Truly… the results can be amazing!)

The focus is on developing an awareness of your posture, core strength, breath and alignment.

By blending the soothing breathing techniques with the flowing movements you create the wonderful feelings of calm and wellbeing in your mind and body that everyone loves. Classes consist of stretches, postures, flowing sequences, breathing, relaxation and meditation to restore harmony and balance. You leave class feeling energised, relaxed and uplifted. Positive, calm and clear.

You don’t have to be flexible to begin doing yoga. People come to yoga because they want to become more flexible. This style allows you to move at your own pace, with whatever injuries or limitations you have, and progress along as your body becomes more relaxed and open.

Mindfulness is really what yoga is all about. It is hard to think of anything else when all your thoughts and senses are engaged with the body and breath. However, there are some other great little tools you can use to assist you in becoming more mindful and aware. The Mindfulness and Relaxation courses are held throughout the year Part 1 & 2, which go for 4 weeks each, giving you time to practice the various techniques between classes. Feedback has been wonderful with everyone noticing the difference in their lives when they become more mindful. Courses can also be arranged for the workplace.
